Living soil: the foundation of regenerative agriculture
Why caring for the soil is the starting point for any truly sustainable productive system.

Living soil is the foundation of any truly regenerative agriculture. More than a physical substrate, it is a complex organism made of bacteria, fungi, roots, organic matter and minerals in dynamic balance.
What defines living soil
- Permanent ground cover.
- High plant diversity with roots at different depths.
- Continuous input of organic matter.
- Minimal tillage and chemical inputs.
How to start regenerating
Start by observing. Map compacted, exposed or eroded areas. Then introduce green manures, mulch and simple biofertilizers, gradually expanding biological diversity.
